The Walgreens partnership with JDRF spans over 20 consecutive years and has raised more than $20 million dollars in support of diabetes research. Walgreen’s generates more than $1 million annually for JDRF through customer donations in more than 8,000 outlets in the United States and Puerto Rico.
In 2012, Walgreens raised more than $1.6 million for JDRF and this year Walgreen’s will again conduct fundraising efforts to benefit JDRF. In the Greater Tampa Bay area, when you visit a Walgreens, you can make a $1, $2, $5, or $10 donation to JDRF at check-out.
And to sweeten the deal, Walgreens will donate 13 cents to JDRF for every 3.0 –3.6 oz. and
10 oz. variety of Russell Stover and Whitmans Sugar Free candy products purchased in July. Walgreen’s has committed to donating up to $35,000 to JDRF through its Walgreens Way to Well Commitment®.
Visit your local Walgreens between July 1 and July 31 and say thank you to the Walgreens employees for their generous and continued support. Snap a picture with the store manager and send it to email@example.com.
